Meet The Ronald Reagans
Becky

Becky takes center stage in The BIG ’80s Show as lead singer and frontwoman “Beckie Gibson”. Becky has trained professionally in musical theater, pop, jazz, and gospel vocal styles. After winning 1st place in WBLI radio station’s “Long Island Idol” competition, she performed as the opening act of Summer Jam 2004 on the Jones Beach stage. Like several of her band mates, Becky has also received her Master’s Degree in Education. She has taught music and theater classes in several NYC middle schools, and is currently a NYC elementary school classroom teacher. Off the stage and out of the classroom, Becky enjoys traveling, having spent months backpacking through Thailand and New Zealand, volunteering in Costa Rica, and living and working in Australia.

Becky’s favorite part of The BIG ’80s Show: “What’s awesome about performing songs our crowds know so well is how every tune we play instantly becomes one big sing-along. I love when fans dress up, dance all night, and totally get into it with us. I especially love our youngest fans – kids love ’80s music just as much as we do!”

Vinnie
Guitar, Vocals

As “Vinnie James Dio,” Vinnie is The Big ’80s Show’s resident Sultan of Shred. A full-time musician since the ’90s, Vin has worked on Broadway in shows such as Mamma Mia! Jersey Boys Movin’ Out and School of Rock. When not stalking the stage with a loaded six-string in hand, Vin teaches people of all ages and ability levels at The New York City Guitar School in midtown Manhattan. There, he has developed the “Intro to Metal” and “Intro to Classic Rock” guitar curriculum and coached dozens of student rock band ensembles. Vin’s teaching influence extends worldwide too—as a freelance journalist he’s penned hundreds of lessons, articles, and transcriptions for Guitar Player, Guitar World, Acoustic Guitar World, and FretsĀ  magazines. He holds a BS in Jazz and Commercial music from Hofstra and an MA in Musicology from L. I. U.

Vinnie’s favorite part of The Big ’80s Show: “80s music was largely about fun—pure and simple. I love when we can help people connect with a part of their past. I also love the fact that what we do is close to a Broadway show. We’ll come into a new venue with our costume changes, lights, synchronized moves, samples, and medleys, and I think it just blows people away. We’re not like the average band they see in the local bar on weekends.

Vinnie plays Hughes & Kettner amps exclusively
